Everwood is an American television drama series created by Greg Berlanti and set in the fictional small town of Everwood, Colorado which tells the story of Dr. Andy Brown, a widower who leaves his successful job as a top Manhattan neurosurgeon to live in Everwood, bringing his 9-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son with him.

The series originally aired in the USA on The WB from 16 September, 2002 to 5 June, 2006. There are 89 hour-long episodes in four seasons.

Everwood originally aired in South Africa on M-Net from 10 March, 2003 to 26 August, 2007. It began airing on SABC3 on 9 January, 2007. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 1

When his wife dies in a car accident, Dr. Andrew Brown leaves behind his New York lifestyle and a successful career as a neurosurgeon and moves to the small town of Everwood, Colorado with his 15-year old son Ephram.

Andy sets up practice and immediately makes enemies with the only other doctor in Everwood, Dr. Harold Abbott. The two develop a love-hate relationship as small town living forces their paths to cross continuously.

Ephram, a budding classical pianist, is struggling to come to terms with his mother’s death. He hates Everwood and its small town living but eventually warms up to it when he falls for Amy Abbott, Dr. Abbott’s daughter.

Amy has a boyfriend though, Colin, who happens to be in a coma after a serious car accident. Andy is called in to operate on Colin but things don't go according to plan.

With so much unsettling change, Andy wonders if his grand experiment of moving to this simple Colorado town was a wise decision. In the year ahead, both father and son will face tough decisions about their future.
