Description

Grown Woman is a South African comedy-drama television series which revolves around a widow who begins dating a much younger man, much to the dismay of her family and friends.

They say life begins at 40, but for Tina Hlatshwayo (Linda Sokhulu), life begins at 49, a year into widowhood – and with a much younger, very hot new lover.

But how will her family and friends react to her newfound groove?

After the death of her husband Sbu, Tina – known to many as 'Mrs H' – has to learn a new way of living not just for her two children Sakhile (Sandile Mahlangu) and Noxee (Bahumi Mhlongo), but for herself.

Having been married for 25 years, she spent all her time balancing work and home, but with the children grown and her husband gone, it's time for her to look inwards and figure out who she is and what makes her happy.

On this new journey, she encounters a handsome, much younger man, Rakwena (fondly known as 'Ra', played by Bohang Moeko), who helps her rediscover herself and brings about a much-needed sexual awakening.

How will her loved ones react to her changing lifestyle?

Grown Woman is the story of self-rediscovery, but it's also the story of family, love, grief, and adventure.

The series stars Linda Sokhulu, Bohang Moeko, Sandile Mahlangu, Bahumi Mhlongo, Nandi Nyembe and Hlubi Mboya.

Grown Woman is an M-Net Original Production, created by Tshego Monaisa and produced for 1Magic by Red Pepper Pictures.

The executive producers are Cecil Barry and Keshni Rajoo. The series producer is Nolo Phiri and the series director is Nozipho Nkelemba.

The head writer is Tshenolo Mabale with a writing team including Fezile Cokile, Nompi Vilakazi and Lunga John Radebe.

The director is Mengameli Nhlabathi.
