The Real Housewives of Durban is a South African docu-reality television series based on "The Real Housewives" series by Bravo Media LLC which follows the lives of relatively affluent housewives and professional women in suburban Durban. After two seasons in Johannesburg, the second South African "Real Housewives" franchise now has the extravagant lives, high fashion and business empires of Ethekwini's queens on display. These ladies open their doors to share their daily lives of conspicuous consumption and splendour, fashion accessories and expensive toys in their driveways. There's a kind of spice that only Durban can bring – and these housewives are creating their own empires and looking good while doing it. The Real Housewives franchise is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Formats and produced locally by Let it Rain Films and Showmax. The Real Housewives of Durban is executive produced by Sam Kelly and Lee Doig. The series producer is Monalisa Chisango and the series director is Valentino Mathibela.
