E-Vets: The Interns (also known as E-Vet Interns) is a reality television series about veterinary interns working at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

It is a spinoff of Emergency Vets, a series about the lives of veterinarians at Alameda East that aired in the USA from 1998-2002 on Animal Planet.

The new series began airing in the USA on 22 January, 2007, also on Animal Planet.

E-Vets: The Interns premiered in South Africa on DStv's Animal Planet channel on Monday 16 July 2007, at 21h00.

Season 2 premiered on Animal Planet on 25 February 2008, at 20h00. Two half-hour episodes air weekly, from 20h00 - 21h00.

Synopsis

The half-hour series follows six doctors fresh out of veterinary school and a seventh doctor participating in a surgical internship, who join the experienced medical team at Alameda East Animal Hospital for a year.

Dr. Erik Anderson
A New Hampshire native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Erik plans to specialize in internal medicine.

Dr. Kevin Drygas
A graduate from the University of Florida, Kevin focuses on surgery.

Dr. David Gall
A former therapist, David returned to the University of Colorado to earn his veterinary degree and pursues his interest in radiology.

Dr. Heather Hadley
A graduate from the University of Minnesota, Heather uses her time at Alameda East to hone her surgical skills.

Dr. Shana O'Marra
A Tufts University graduate, Shana pursues a career in emergency medicine and critical care.

Dr. Blair Willman
A recent graduate of Louisiana State University, Blair is a native of the South. Her passion for veterinary medicine spans from dermatology to animal behavior and exotics.

Dr. Michelle Nanfelt
A graduate of Colorado State University, Michelle is participating in a surgical internship. She is originally from New York.

The young doctors are faced with tough decisions that can mean the difference between saving and losing a patient. They have the latest in veterinary technology on their side as well the guidance of experienced doctors.
