Description

Jozi Streets is a South African police procedural television drama series produced by Clive Morris Productions which follows a crack team of cops headed by a partnership well equipped to deal with the serious crimes poisoning South Africa's richest, most vibrant city.

Each episode is based on an actual case and features Boki Basson (Bill Flynn) and Linda Paulsen (Faye Peters), whose task is to root out malicious criminals without getting tangled in the "crime web".

Will they be able to keep their lives separate from the cases they investigate? Or will they crack under the pressure?

In the first episode of the series, a trip to an all night takeaway diner turns disastrous and tragic when a young, successful couple - Scott and Nicolette Meyer - are hijacked in the parking lot of the diner.

The husband is knocked over the head with a gun and thrown out of the car in a deserted area, as the two hijackers make off to a squatter camp in Soweto with Nicolette Meyer.

Captain Boki Basson has just arrived in Jozi and is summoned out of his house while he and his wife are unpacking boxes. He meets, for the first time, his new, young and beautiful partner, Linda Paulsen.

Boki and Linda do not get off on the right foot, but realise that their differences have to give way to the task that stands in front of them: returning Nicolette Meyer safely to her husband and family.

Things are, however, never that simple...

Jozi Streets was produced by Clive Morris Productions and written by Moose Thabete.
