Description

Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell is an American stand-up comedy television talk show executive produced by Chris Rock and starring comedian W. Kamau Bell in which Bell does mostly observational comedy on recent news stories and current events.

Since all of the show's writers are stand-up comedians, many often appear as correspondents who perform monologues. At the end of the program, Bell interviews a celebrity guest.

The series premiered in the USA on FX on 9 August, 2012.

Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell premiered in South Africa on DStv's Vuzu channel on Wednesday 1 May 2013, at 23h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 13 episodes in the first season.

Synopsis

Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, from Bell and Executive Producers Chris Rock, Chuck Sklar and Keri Smith Esguia, stars standup comedian W. Kamau Bell as he hilariously dissects politics, pop culture, race, religion, sex and the media from his own unique point of view.

The show features Bell's commentary, live guests, sketch comedy and taped segments. The show is produced by FX Productions.

Previous guests include Don Cheadle, Rachel Maddow, John Oliver, astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Wanda Sykes, David Alan Grier, George Takei and musician/activist Tom Morello.

A half-hour series, Totally Biased is shot in New York City before a live studio audience. A weekly show for its first two seasons, the show expanded to a daily show from the middle of Season 2.
