Description

Killer Karaoke is an American television game show based on the British show Sing If You Can and produced by Zodiak USA which features contestants attempting to sing in front of a live studio audience while various attempts are made to disrupt their performances.

truTV takes singing competitions to an extreme level with this series hosted by Jackass star Steve-O (Season 1) and Mark McGrath (Season 2).

Inspired in part by the popular Zodiak Media international television hit Sing If You Can, Killer Karaoke challenges contestants to sing a hit song while the hosts put them through the most hilarious and unexpected physical challenges imaginable.

Format (Season 1)

Six different contestants appear in each show. They are separated into three preliminary rounds of two contestants, and each have approximately 90 seconds to sing their song.

Contestants are introduced to the audience and told their challenge. Before every challenge, Steve-O tells the contestant: "No matter what happens, do not stop singing."

The winner for each round is picked by the live studio audience via popular vote and is automatically advanced into the Killer Karaoke Final Showdown.

Format (Season 2)

Each episode's competition begins with six contestants singing an opening number, after which they are ranked based on a scoring system.

The highest-ranking players earn advantages throughout the show, such as deciding who goes first, picking their challenges and sometimes even choosing what obstacles their opponent will face.

But the ultimate goal is winning over the audience, who will be voting throughout the competition.

When all is "sung and done," the top two contestants must face each other - as well as their biggest fears - in a final head-to-head battle. The singer with the highest score wins the weekly cash prize of up to $10,000.

Killer Karaoke is produced by Zodiak USA, with Tony Yates and James Rowley serving as executive producers.
