About the Show

Here Come the Newlyweds is an American reality competition television series produced by Warner Horizon Television in which several just-married couples compete for a nest egg worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to kick-start their new lives together and help them realise their dreams.

The series premiered in the USA on ABC on 2 March, 2008. There are 14 hour-long episodes in two seasons to date.

Here Come the Newlyweds premiered in South Africa on M-Net on Sunday 7 December 2008, at 17h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2 premiered on M-Net on Sunday 9 August 2009, at 18h00. New episodes air weekly. There are eight episodes in the second season.

Season 1

Seven just-married couples compete for a nest egg worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to kick-start their new lives together and help them realise their dreams, in Here Come the Newlyweds, a new one-hour romantic comedy reality series.

Hosted by comedian Pat Bullard, Here Come the Newlyweds is all about relationships, the differences between men and women, and the universal issues that every couple must face.

The newlyweds are diverse, sexy and competitive, including such pairings as high school sweethearts, couples who fell in love at first sight, an arranged marriage, an interracial couple and two divorcees who are hoping the fourth time is the charm.

In this six-episode show, each couple faces a variety of mental and physical challenges which will test the love and passion they have for one another as well as their competitive spirit.

At the end of each episode, the field will be narrowed as the couples vote to send one couple home. The stakes get higher as the potential nest egg grows, until one couple ultimately wins the grand prize.

Season 2

Hosted by comedian Pat Bullard, Here Come the Newlyweds is all about relationships, the differences between men and women, and the universal issues that every couple must face.

The romantic comedy reality series returns for a second season, and the newlyweds are just as diverse, sexy and competitive this time around.

The nine couples include pairings that range from couples who met at a date auction, a rock concert and church to a couple reunited after 10 years apart and another couple who were still virgins before saying, "I do."

In this eight-episode season, each couple faces a variety of mental and physical challenges which will test the love and passion they have for one another as well as their competitive spirit.

At the end of each episode, the field will be narrowed as the couples vote to send one couple home.

The stakes get higher as the potential nest egg grows, until one couple ultimately wins the grand prize.
