Cine India is a South African television series which showcases popular Bollywood feature films, with each film serving as an episode of the series.
It premiered on SABC2 on Monday 22 September 2008, at 22h30. There are 13 films in the first season, with a second season scheduled for 2009.
Synopsis
Cine India is a festival of 13 Bollywood films, which include box-office blockbusters, award-winners and titles that have earned critical acclaim.
The series stars numerous big names from the world of Hindi film including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and India's royal family of the screen - Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.
All the movies will be screened in their full theatrical length, with English sub-titles supplementing the original Hindi or Tamil soundtrack.
