Season 7 premiered on M-Net Series Zone on Wednesday 13 November 2013, at 20h30. New episodes broadcast in a double bill weekly. There are 13 episodes in the seventh and final season.

Synopsis

Army Wives is an unflinching portrayal of the lives of four women and one man married to career members of the armed forces.

On a South Carolina military base, far from family and old friends, the five turn to each other for emotional support, companionship and advice, as their loved ones tackle the dangerous business of defending the country.

Elegant, educated Claudia Joy serves as den mother to a disparate group that includes Roxy, a raucous, fun-loving bartender; Denise, who is hiding a secret that could destroy her family; Pamela, a surrogate mother trying to solve a financial crisis; and Roland, a psychiatrist whose most important patient is his PTSD-afflicted wife.

Bound together by pressures familiar to many military spouses, they build a bond that sustains them through sacrifice, loneliness and unforgiving conventions of Army life.

The series films in Charleston, South Carolina and stars Kim Delaney (Claudia Joy Holden), Sally Pressman (Roxy LeBlanc), Brigid Brannagh (Pamela Moran), Brian McNamara (Michael Holden), Sterling K. Brown (Roland Burton), Wendy Davis (Joan Burton), Drew Fuller (Trevor LeBlanc), Terry Serpico (Frank Sherwood), Katelyn Pippy (Emmalin Holden) and Catherine Bell (Denise Sherwood).

The series is based on the book Army Wives by Tanya Biank, who serves as a show consultant.

Seasons

Note: only the first five seasons aired on M-Net, after which the show was moved permanently to M-Net Series. Season 5 did not air on M-Net Series (it was replaced by Season 3 of Glee in January 2012). The show moved again to M-Net Series Showcase (simulcast in HD) for Season 7.
