Fathers & Sons is a South African comedy-drama television series which revolves around a single father raising his teenage son in suburban Gauteng, thinks he has his life under control until his old-school, jazz-obsessed father Madimetja arrives from Limpopo for a 'short visit' that never ends.
Meet Madimetja (Makwela Lekalakala), the original deadbeat dad turned comeback king (in his own mind), who crashes into his son Khutso's life like a kasi taxi with no brakes.
Khutso (Paul Maila), a control-freak single Dad, is doing his best to raise his teenage son Gopolang (Omhle Tshabalala) with military precision until Madimetja shows up with nothing but a suitcase full of regrets and wild schemes.
Meanwhile, Gopolang, caught between his dad's rules and his grandfather's chaos, just wants to vibe and survive.
Add a mischievous best friend from next door and a secret "situationship"...
Other cast members include Sana Mchunu, Londeka Sishi, Linda Sokhulu and Thabo Malema.
Each episode is a whirlwind of second chances, fatherhood fails, teenage troubles and cultural clashes.
From botched family dinners to TikTok disasters, the Mphahlele men stumble their way towards something that might just resemble a family... if they don't kill each other first.
