Synopsis

Great food, brilliant recipes and good old-fashioned seaside fun!

Chef Danny Boome takes a gastronomic trip down memory lane under the big, beautiful skies of North Norfolk in this series. As a young boy, he spent many summers there and now he returns to visit old haunts to create traditional dishes, with a modern twist.

Setting off on his gastronomic odyssey in a camper van, the former ice-hockey star and ex-model turned TV chef visits the seaside resorts with their wide sandy beaches and the market towns, with their picturesque cobble buildings and village greens, on the way gathering gourmet ingredients from Cromer to Kings Lynn.

Meeting gamekeepers, farmers and fishermen that help him unlock the secrets of fresh, local food; Danny cooks these ingredients in new and exciting ways.

From a cook-off on the beach, to Danny's attempt to impress locals at a food fair with some adventurous dishes, this series illustrates a genuinely British cooking style brought to life by a charismatic and talented young chef.
