About the Show

B&B is a South African television sitcom produced by Endemol South Africa and set in a bed and breakfast run by the Beseni family, which follows the goings-on amongst the owners, staff and guests in the one-star facility located in Muldersdrift.

The B&B is a one-star facility owned by the Beseni family, Boss and Buhle, who name it using the first letters of their nick names.

Located in Muldersdrift, just off Beyers Naude and close to the West Rand suburbs, at the edge of modern society, the B&B attracts a buffet of hilarious guests. A few of them are as crazy as the B&B compatriots.

Its biggest setback is that the owners are all about keeping up appearances - and can easily lose sight of the truth.

The 32-year-old Boss is an aspiring entrepreneur with many unfinished business ideas and after winning R5-million from the lottery his dreams have come to life. He managed to buy a B&B and get married to the extravagant Buhle. She is not the sharpest pencil in the drawer, but has learned that a smart girl marries right.

Prior to owning the B&B, Boss lived in a backroom of his doting mother, Mama Mgcina's house in Soweto. He ran her a tuck-shop where he made just enough money to buy groceries and a lottery ticket every week.

Check into B&B for a firm reminder that life is not so bad when you're surrounded by family and friends who love you in their own peculiar way.

The series stars Mpume Ngwenya as Thandi, Thembalethu Ntuli as Cuba, Mackmillian Leshumo as Zwe, Mondé Sibisi as Dolce, Marah Louw as Ma Mgcina, Asanda Maku as Buhle and Siphiwe Hlabangane as Boss.

The head writer is Martin Koboekae, the series director is Mzu Mzazi and the series producer is Victoria Maake. The executive producers are Sam Shale and Sivan Pillay for Endemol South Africa; Lynn Gaines is the executive producer for e.tv.
