Chasing Nature is an American reality television series in which engineering students design and construct an apparatus that mimics an animal's own capability – on a human scale – in less than one week.
The series premiered in the USA on Animal Planet in 2005.

From the producers of Discovery Channel’s popular show Mythbusters, Animal Planet brings you this all-new, action-packed series, Chasing Nature.
The show demands the United States' best and brightest engineering students to design and construct an apparatus that mimics an animal's own amazing capability – on a human scale – in less than one week.
Hosted by Kamal Sidhu, each episode of Chasing Nature features a new group of students, along with a new challenge.
Can the students catch a 22-kilo metal fly in a giant 12-metre-tall spider web? Can they build a scorpion tail on the back of a high-speed vehicle that can sting fleeing prey? Can they build an apparatus that allows them to swing like a great ape across a 30-metre chasm?
The series will find out if these amazing creations will be able to match what took nature millions of years to perfect.
