Roswell is a sci-fi show that centers around three teens Liz, Maria and Alex who attend the local high school in Roswell. Liz works in a cafe and is shot during an argument between two customers. Fellow student Max Evans rushes to her aid.
Later, she finds a silver handprint on her stomach and confronts Max. He is forced to admit that he, his sister Isabel and their friend Michael are aliens who survived the 1947 UFO crash known as The Roswell Incident.
Liz is initially sworn to secrecy but Maria and Alex eventually learn the truth. These six youngsters reluctantly become friends as they struggle to protect the alien trio from mysterious government agents, crazy UFO seekers and the sheriff of Roswell.
At the end of this first series a fourth alien hybrid is introduced who goes by the name of Tess. With her she brings the concept of Destiny which is a theme that's explored more fully in the seasons that follow.
