Take 5 is a youth chat/documentary series that investigates and discusses different aspects of South African society with a focus on their impact on the youth.
Currently in it's ninth season, the show is on SABC1 on Mondays at 18h30. Seasons one to eight were on SABC1 on weekdays at 16h00.
The series is produced for SABC1 by Mokoailane Productions and is presented by Siya Mdlalose.
Synopsis
Each episode investigates a different social topic that affects the youth and features vox pop interviews with the person-in-the-street, interviews with expert guests and a studio audience, who discuss each issue.
At the end of every episode five volunteers go out into the real world to actively engage with the challenge of the topic to see what results they achieve.
Topics covered in the show include: Celebrity Culture, Home Affairs and Responsible Drinking.
On Monday 22 December, 2008 TVSA's Brown Shuga will appear as an expert on the show to discuss Media Influences.
