Raymold Avila joins the Internal Affairs Department of the Los Angeles police.

He is partnered with Amy Wallace and they are given the task of looking into the activities of policeman Dennis Peck, whose financial holdings start to suggest something suspicious.

It is clear that Peck is involved in criminal activities, he also happens to be a devious womaniser, and a clever manipulator, and soon turns his attention to Avila.
