About the Show

Supreme Court of Comedy is an American television comedy series produced by The Laugh Factory and True Entertainment which is a pseudo judge show with Dom Irrera as the judge and several comedians or actors playing lawyers who preside over real small claims court cases, delivering rulings that are used for entertainment purposes only.

The series aired in the USA on DirecTV from 2008-2010. There are 34 half-hour episodes in three seasons.

Supreme Court of Comedy premiered in South Africa on DStv's Sony Entertainment Television (SONY) channel on Saturday 8 September 2012, at 19h50. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 3 premiered on SONY on Saturday 13 April 2013, at 17h15. New episodes broadcast weekly, at varying times. There are 13 episodes in the third and final season.

Synopsis

And the verdict is: uncontrollable laughter.

Join the (Dis)Honorable Judge Dom Irrera in this send-up of court TV, as some of America's top comedians robe up to defend real people in real-life small-claims disputes.

Every episode is completely unscripted, utterly unpredictable and totally hilarious as these "jesters of justice" face off in the highest (or perhaps the lowest) court in the land.

The plaintiffs and defendants are regular people with actual small claims court cases; however, the show has no legal standing and is meant for entertainment purposes only.

Check out the likes of Jon Lovitz, Jamie Kennedy, Kevin Pollak and Victoria Jackson whooping and spoofing it up to the hilt. Naturally, the rulings are for entertainment purposes only, but many of them turn out to be surprisingly just...

The half-hour, unscripted series is executive produced by The Laugh Factory and True Entertainment, an Endemol Company.
