Nonhle Goes to Hollywood (originally entitled Nonhle Takes Hollywood) is a South African reality television series executive produced by and starring television presenter Nonhle Thema as she starts from the bottom and tries to climb up the Hollywood ladder one audition at a time.
The series originally aired on DStv's Vuzu channel from 9 February to 30 March, 2011, on Wednesdays at 19h30. It later aired on DStv's Mzansi Wethu channel. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Nonhle Goes to Hollywood premiered on Mzansi Wethu on Tuesday 7 May 2013, at 19h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are eight half-hour episodes in the series.
Synopsis
Get up close and personal with Channel O and Vuzu starlet Nonhle Thema as she lets you into her day-to-day life and lets you tag along on her trip to Hollywood.
Her mission: to expand the Nonhle Thema "brand" and gain global exposure.
The series follows her as she starts from the bottom and tries to climb up the Hollywood ladder one audition at a time, learning hard lessons, making friends and trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood.
