Four Channels 06-11-2013 Pic 1

TVSA has learned from a very well placed source that DStv will be launching four new channels soon. Specifically, four Chellomedia properties which include two CBS channels.

You may remember that Zone Reality changed to CBS Reality late last year? The channel was acquired by CBS Studios and Chellomedia in a joint partnership and the channel changed to CBS Reality as a result. Now four other channels will be joining it: CBS Drama, CBS Action, MGM and JimJam.

Movie channel MGM and the children's channel JimJam are already on StarSat (formerly TopTV) while CBS Drama and Action are brand fresh to South Africa.

CBS Drama is a compendium of shows and movies that are considered to be modern US TV classics. The line-up includes series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Dallas (the original), Judge Judy, Cheers, Knots Landing, Matlock, Touched by an Angel, Charmed, JAG and Medium.

CBS Action has a similar vibe, except with a focus on action series such as Deadwood, Bonanza (bang!), Dexter, Nash Bridges, Numb3rs, Wonder Woman, The Agency and Jake and the Fatman.

No exact date has been confirmed for their launch but word is they'll most likely launch towards the end of November/early December.

I know Jim Jam from Toptv, its a nice channel for the kiddies.....my nephews enjoyed it. MGM is a boring channel with the 60's, 70's and 80's movies
