Eva Birthistle is an Irish actress best known for her starring role as Roisin Hanlon in Ken Loach's 2004 feature film Ae Fond Kiss..., which earned her the British Actress of the Year Award at the London Film Critics' Awards and the Best Actress Award at the Irish Film and TV Awards.She currently stars as Captain Kate Marshall in the action thriller television series Strike Back, since 2011.Birthistle's credits include the popular UK shows Silent Witness, Waking the Dead and Holby City.
