Michael Trucco is an American actor best known for his starring role Ensign Samuel Anders on the science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica, from 2005-2009.

He also starred as Justin Patrick, the soon-to-be-ex-husband of Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi), in the legal drama television series Fairly Legal.

A San Francisco Bay-area native, as a child Trucco considered following his police officer father into law enforcement.

But the onetime sociology and criminal justice major soon found his calling as an actor, and upon graduating with a degree in Theatre Arts Trucco began to pursue a career in entertainment.

After a start working in theatre, he began to land roles on a number of hit television series, including recurring spots on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Pensacola: Wings of Gold.

Trucco has also guest-starred on numerous series, such as One Tree Hill, CSI and CSI: Miami, Law & Order: SVU and The Big Bang Theory.

He is best known for his portrayal of Samuel Anders on three seasons of the acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica, and starred in a multi-episode arc as Detective Tom Demming on the ABC series Castle.

Trucco is lead guitarist in the band simpleworld, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Sandra Hess.

In 2014 he had a starring role as Billy Parker, Molly’s ruggedly handsome older brother who is a former Special Forces soldier in Iraq but now lives and works on the Parker ranch with his family, in the short-lived police procedural crime drama television series Killer Women.
