Bio

Michael Steger is an American actor best known for his role as high school journalist Navid Shirazi in the teen drama television series 90210, from 2008-2013.

Steger made his feature film debut in the Disney movie The Cheetah Girls: One World, which was released worldwide in August 2008. As Vik Bhatia, he plays a young, aspiring Bollywood movie director who offers The Cheetah Girls a role in his film, only to have his dreams and creative vision stifled by his shrewd uncle.

A Southern California native, Steger spent most of his childhood training in martial arts and received his first Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 18.

During high school, Steger caught the acting bug and honed his craft in the theatre. He went on to play leading roles in numerous classical and contemporary plays in and around the L.A. area, including A View from the Bridge, Death of a Salesman, Othello and Tartuffe.

Steger's career began to take off when Tim Burton cast and directed him as the lead in the music video for the song Bones, by popular rock band The Killers. Soon after, Steger landed his first television series opposite Rob Corddry in The Winner, produced by Seth MacFarlane.

Following the sitcom, Michael became a series regular on Buzz, a pilot in which he starred opposite Sharon Lawrence. He has also guest starred on NCIS, Cory in the House and Hannah Montana as a hot young tennis superstar. He was also seen as a guest star in the 2008 season opener of Criminal Minds.

In his spare time he enjoys camping, hiking, playing tennis, seeing every movie that's ever been released and going to every restaurant in town, recommended or not.
