Bio

Michael Cassidy is an American actor best known for his television roles as Zach Stevens in The O.C. (2004-2005), as Cliff Wiatt in Hidden Palms (2007), as Grant Gabriel in Smallville (2007-2008) and as Charlie Hogan in Privileged, from 2008-2009.

He also starred as Tyler in the television sitcom Men at Work, from 2012-2014.

Familiar to television audiences from his role on The O.C., Cassidy stared as Cliff Wiatt, a smooth-talking charmer with a dark side, in Hidden Palms. He also had a 7-episode arc on Smallville playing the role of the newspaper editor, Grant Gabriel.

Cassidy grew up in Portland, Oregon, before moving to New York to study for two years at the New Actors' Workshop.

In 2004, Cassidy went to Los Angeles to audition for Superman Returns. He didn't get the part, but impressed McG, then the film's director and an executive producer of The O.C., who cast him in the series as Zach Stevens, Summer's (Rachel Bilson) perfect boyfriend.

Cassidy's first big-screen break was the feature film Zoom, starring Tim Allen and Courteney Cox. Cassidy played Dylan West, a.k.a. Houdini. Other credits include the feature The Girl From Monday, directed by Hal Hartley.

Cassidy currently resides in Los Angeles and enjoys playing golf in his down time.
