Maboni Nyakatya is a South African actress best known for her role as Detective-Sergeant Ayanda Gope in the SABC1 drama series Interrogation Room, from 2007-2008.She also appeared in the controversial SABC1 mini-series Umthunzi Wentaba in 2007. The series was pulled by the broadcaster after compaints from traditional leaders about the depiction of male circumcision rituals.Maboni previously had a guest starring role in an episode of the SABC1 sitcom City Ses'la.
