Bio
Jay Hatkow was a contestant on the television reality competition Pirate Master, in 2007.
Born and raised in Detroit, Hatkow has worked in the auto industry his entire life. His father is a union representative and after graduating from high school, Hatkow worked as an auto line assembler.
He has also worked as a marketing manager and manufacturing engineer.
Taking advantage of the car company's college tuition program, Jay enrolled in community college and eventually he received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
He currently sells equipment for engine and power train test cells.
He describes himself as devious, jealous and impatient. He says he can be manipulative and motivational, when necessary.
His hobbies include playing online "Survivor" (a game he claims he always wins), Texas Hold 'Em poker, fantasy football, racquetball, boxing and lifting weights.
Jay is proud to be the first person in his family to graduate from college. He is also very proud to be Polish-Italian.
He resides in Plymouth, Michigan, with his wife Denise and their two children, Jeani (b. 1997) and Anthony (b. 1999).
