Matthew Stewardson (11 December, 1974 - 10 December, 2010) was a South African actor, singer and television presenter best known for co-hosting the first season of the M-Net reality competition Idols, in 2002.

Midway through the first season of Idols he was fired and replaced by Sami Sabiti after relapsing into a longstanding drug and alcohol problem.

Matthew died on 10 December, 2010 in Jeffrey's Bay after suffering a heart attack. He was one day short of his 36th birthday.
