Irene Bedard is an American actress and voice artist best known for her portrayal of Native American characters in a variety of films, and in particular for voicing the role of the eponymous heroine in the Disney animated film Pocahontas and its direct-to-video sequel Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.
Her feature film credits include Smoke Signals (1998), Squanto: A Warrior's Tale (1994), Song of Hiawatha (1997) and Disney's 1995 Pocahontas, for which her likeness was drawn for the image of the title character.
Her Tv credits include TNT's Two for Texas (1998), Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee (1994), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination and Into the West (2005).
