Born and bred in Johannesburg, Vus matriculated in 2001 at Randfontein High School and he's been living in Cape Town since 2003 because of his studies.
Vus attends CPUT where he is doing his 4th year in Graphic Design. He is also a freelance designer and does poetry sessions as well.
His hobbies include his work, designing, music, DJing at campus and everything that helps him with his creativity. Vus was coaxed into entering The Cut by his Head of Faculty because of the project he is currently working on.
The project that he is involved in is on how to explore design to black people and how it affects people in the townships.
“The Cut will be the perfect platform for me to explore and grow design,” says Vus.
Asked what he is hoping to get out of the competition, he replied: “I’ve already got the experience. The prize is not that important. I’m up against some hardcore talent and it’s a battle I’m looking forward too."
