Brian Bonsall is a former child actor best known for his television roles as Andy Keaton in the sitcom Family Ties (1986-1989), and as Alexander Rozhenko in the sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation, from 1992-1994.

He appeared in two made-for-TV movies in 1994 and has not acted since. He has stated that he has no interest in acting, preferring to make a career in music.

Bonsall attended Missouri Military Academy for one year and also started a band in 1998 called Late Bloomers. He now has a punk band called Thruster.

He was convicted of DUI charges in 2001 and 2004 and in March 2007 he was arrested in Boulder, Colorado on a domestic violence charge which stemmed from allegations made by his girlfriend that he choked her.

In August 2007, he pled guilty to assault charges and was placed on two years probation.
