Melody Zulu is a South African model best known as one of the Top 12 finalists in the 2009 Miss South Africa pageant.
Miss SA Bio
Melody Zulu is 24 years old and is a full time model. She would one day like to own her own modelling agency and be a motivational speaker.
If she was to win Miss SA she would like to manage projects that encourage and instil spiritual values in young women.
She is inspired by life-just being alive and present. Melody believes that each day is a second chance to become a blessing to other people.
"To win the coveted Miss SA crown feels like the next logical step for me. I want to make a difference in every way I can."
Face of Africa Bio
At 1.82m tall, Melody Zulu is one of the tallest semi-finalists in the Nokia Face of Africa 2006.
Born on February 18 in 1985, Melody is a staunch supporter of the carpe diem (“seize the day”) school of thought.
With an interest in fashion retail, Melody lists designers Ruff Tung, Craig Native, Holmes Bros, Malcolm Klük, Clive Rundle, D-Squared, Diesel and Guess among her favourite fashion labels.
But did she expect to be selected for the Nokia Face of Africa 2006 project? “No way,” she says. “I was just so excited to be in the second round (swimwear) in the top 16 that I still have sleepless nights by just getting this far.”
Loud, spontaneous and friendly, Melody hails from Durban in South Africa.
