Bio

Keith Hamilton Cobb starred as Tyr Anasazi in Seasons 1 - 3 of the sci-fi action drama Andromeda.

Best known to audiences for his role in the daytime soapie All My Children, his portrayal of Noah Keefer earned him a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Newcomer, as well as a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. In addition Cobb was voted one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the World 1996.

After All My Children Cobb appeared in an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, where ironically enough, in a spoof of the daytime genre, he starred as a soap opera actor who was fired by the show’s diva.

Cobb has made a number of other guest appearances on various TV series including BeastMaster, Suddenly Susan, and Boston Common.

Cobb honed his acting skills at the prestigious Circle in the Square and Playwright’s Horizons acting studios in New York. His impressive list of theatrical credits includes Othello,, Coriolanus, Hamlet,Julius Caesar,Romeo and Juliet, and numerous others.

In his first feature film role, Cobb portrayed the bodyguard of a Mafioso in the independent film Astonished. He also won the starring role in the independent feature Eyes Beyond Seeing.

Cobb’s love for acting stems from his devotion to the works of William Shakespeare. For two years he served as a judge of the National Shakespeare Competition.

Cobb taught for six years at Youth Theatre Interactions, an after school performing arts program in Yonkers, New York that introduces children to the arts.

He also spent several years at Playwright’s Theatre of New Jersey, where he taught playwriting, directed and performed in the plays of youthful offenders in the New Jersey correctional system.
