John Heard is an American actor with well over 100 screen credits since his debut in the 1975 made-for-TV movie Mr. Harvie.

He has appeared in numerous box office movie hits, including the two Home Alone movies (1990 and 1992); Big (1988); In The Line Of Fire (1993); The Pelican Brief (1993); White Chicks (2004); Beaches (1988); Snake Eyes (1998); The Guardian (2006); and Awakenings (1990).

Other films he has appeared in include The Milagro Beanfield War (1988); Mindwalk (1990); Deceived (1991); Waterland (1992); Before and After (1996); One Eight Seven (1997); Animal Factory (2000); Pollock (2000); O (2001); and Steel City (2006).

In television, Heard has never had a leading role in a series, but has had major recurring roles in The Sopranos; CSI: Miami; Jack & Bobby; and Prison Break.

He has made numerous guest appearances in television shows, including Kate & Allie; Miami Vice; Law & Order; The Outer Limits; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; Touched By An Angel; Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; NUMB3RS; and Battlestar Galactica.

He has also acted in a number of made-for-TV movies, including Out on a Limb (1987); Necessity (1988); Blown Away (1990); Dead Ahead: The Exxon Valdez Disaster (1992); Perfect Murder, Perfect Town: JonBenét and the City of Boulder (2000); The Pilot's Wife (2002); Locusts (2005); and Twenty Questions (2006).
