James Widdoes is an American actor, producer and director best known for his role as father of the house Stan Pembroke in the television sitcom Charles in Charge, from 1984-1985.

Television series he has directed include Boston Common, My Wife and Kids, The King of Queens, 8 Simple Rules, According to Jim, 'Til Death, The Bill Engvall Show and Two and a Half Men.
