Frederic Forrest is an American actor best known for his roles as Jay 'Chef' Hicks in Apocalypse Now, as Eugene Scott in It Lives Again and as Nick The Nazi Surplus Store Owner inFalling Down.He is also known for playing the writer Dashiell Hammett twice in film - in Hammett (1982) and in Citizen Cohn (1992 TV movie).He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscars for his roles in Apocalypse Now and The Rose.
