Roz Ryan is an American actress, singer and comedienne best known for her role as Sister Amelia Hetebrink on the television sitcom Amen, from 1986-1991.

She is also known for her starring role as Rickey Smiley's Aunt Sylvia, who helps raise his three kids, in the television sitcom The Rickey Smiley Show.

Ryan has an extensive career as a singer and television and Broadway actress. She is most known for her role as the cantankerous Amelia Heterbrink on Amen.

Her other television credits include roles on All About the Andersons, Half & Half and the Showtime series Barbershop. Ryan has starred in numerous musicals including Ain't Misbehavin' and Dreamgirls.

She also been the voice of several animated characters including Mrs. Fitzpatrick on Disney's Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.
