Carol Bouwer is a South African television presenter, producer and production company owner best known for hosting - and later producing - the SABC talk show Motswako: The Mix.
Born in Soweto, Carol always wanted to be on television. Her screen career started with a presenting job on a commercial channel but her first big break came with the opportunity to present the youth dating show, Buzz.
Her next step was to co-present Motswako, but after a year she realised that her passion lay in producing - not only in presenting. She took over the production of Motswako, which continues to air today.
Her production company - Carol Bouwer Productions - produced numerous successful television series and documentaries, including Nowhere Land and Hooked.
She is involved in several business projects and divides her time between her family, her business interests and her television productions.
As a TV anchor and presenter, Carol interviewed numerous statesmen, celebrities, business people and others.
In 2010 she began producing and co-presenting the all-female talk show No Reservations, on SABC3.
