Bio

Lindsay Hartley (nee Korman) is an American actress and singer best known for her role as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald on the soap opera Passions, from 1999-2008.

She later played the soap opera roles of Arianna Hernandez in Days of Our Lives (2009-2010) and Cara Castillo (later Cara Finn and Cara Martin) in All My Children, since 2010.

Born to business entrepreneurs Jeff and Wendy Korman on April 17, 1978, Hartley was bitten by the show-biz bug early on, taking to the beauty pageant circuit. She developed her voice and began singing professionally at eleven years old.

During her pageantry days, she won numerous competitions including national pre-teen talent winner of the Young Miss America Beauty Pageant and Miss Supreme Beauty in 1990.

Hartley has also won many vocal competitions, such as The L.A. Philharmonic's Award Vocal Opera, The National Date Festival and America's Showcase Starlet.

Wanting to embark on a new challenge, Hartley began to audition for musicals and at 14 she landed the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Realising she wanted to be a performer, Lindsay honed her skills in many productions including Jesus Christ Superstar.

At 16 she moved to Las Vegas with her family. A year later, she became the youngest person ever to land the lead in Viva Las Vegas at the Sands Hotel.

Hartley graduated from high school a year early with honours. She enrolled at University of Nevada-Las Vegas for a year and a half. She also had the opportunity to record tracks with Jackie Jackson and Robin Thicke.

Seth Riggs, her long-time vocal technician, arranged for her to audition for the role of Sandy in a Broadway production of Grease. She didn't snag the role, but gained a spot in the ensemble.

On her own for the first time, Hartley moved to New York to be a part of the production. When the show closed, she went on to play the coveted role of Maria in West Side Story at the Paramount Theatre located in Austin, Texas.

Soon after, Hartley won the role of Galatea in Pygmalion: The True Story, which toured the Greek Islands.

After her stint in Pygmalion, she returned to California and landed the role of the Bride in Universal Studios' Beetlejuice's Rocking Graveyard Review. During this time she switched agents, wanting to try her luck in television and film.

At 21, Hartley went to an audition for the soap opera Passions, landing the role of Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. Hartley read for the part three times before landing the life-changing role.

Passions, a daytime soap which dwells in the supernatural, marked her television debut. The show premiered on July 5th, 1999.

Hartley's portrayal of the young heroine/ingénue has garnered a great deal of praise from critics and audiences. In the show's first year, she was nominated for Outstanding Female Newcomer at the 16th Annual Soap Opera Digest Awards.

She has been honoured with performer of the week multiple times in Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly. The discontinued Soap Opera Update also praised Hartley's work, garnering her many honourable mentions and a Star Shine Article for her dynamic work during Julian Crane and Theresa's drunken night fiasco in Bermuda in 2001.

In 2003, Hartley was nominated again for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress at the 18th Annual Soap Opera Digest Awards.

Hartley's other television appearances include The Weakest Link and The Other Half in 2002.

Lindsay also lent her voice to the tracks Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree, Miss You Most At Christmas, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas on Swirling Records Another Soap Sessions Christmas 2001, Volume VI.

In 2003, Lindsay began dating co-star Justin Hartley (Passions' Nicolas Foxworth Crane). After six months, the two became engaged on November 13th, 2003.

In honour of their first date, the couple married in a small ceremony on May 1st, 2004. They welcomed their first child, Isabella Justice, on July 3rd, 2004.
