LeVar Burton is an American actor best known for his role as Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in 177 episodes of the television sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation, from 1987-1994.
Burton played the same character in the feature films Star Trek: Generations (1994); Star Trek: First Contact (1996); Star Trek the Experience: The Klingon Encounter (1998); Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).
He also made a guest appearance on one episode of Star Trek: Voyager, as Captain Geordi La Forge.
In addition, he voiced the role of La Forge in two video games: Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity (1995); and Star Trek: Generations (1997).
