Carrie Fisher (21 October, 1956 – 27 December, 2016) was an American actress, screenwriter and novelist best known for her role as Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars trilogy.

She also achieved recognition for her novels and screenplays, most popularly her semi-autobiographical novel and screenplay Postcards From The Edge.
