Bio

Anele Matoti is a South African actor best known for his role as Taps in the SABC3 drama series Shado's (2005-2006), and as Muzi in the e.tv drama series Shooting Stars, from 2007-2010.

His feature film credits include No Heaven Above Africa and Life is Hard.

In television he has featured in Shado's, Scandal!, This Life, Shooting Stars, Interrogation Room, Khululeka, Home Affairs, Montana, Stokvel and The Philanthropist, among others.

On stage he has been in productions such as Julius Caesar, Alberts Bridge and Medea.

He played the role of Xolisa Mashigo in the M-Net soccer drama series League of Glory, in 2010 and in 2012 he was a main cast member of the Mzansi Magic sitcom S.I.E.S., playing the role of incompetent consultant Sandile Mafalo.

Anele matriculated from Queen's College in Queenstown in 1997 and later attended Rhodes University and City Varsity.

Originally from Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape, he currently resides in Cape Town.
