Bio
Sicelo Buthelezi is a South African actor best known for his role as Teddy on the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora.
He matriculated from Ingqayizivele High School in Tembisa before joining The Market Theatre Laboratory in 2018 to study acting.
He made his screen acting debut as a soccer player in an episode of the SABC1 anthology docu-drama series Now or Never entitled "The Cleaner" (Season 6, Episode 16) which first aired on 30 July, 2018.
Sicelo was next cast in the recurring role of Teddy, who struggles with reading and memory because his mother drank while she was pregnant with him, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora, first appearing in the series premiere on 30 March, 2020.
He won the award for Outstanding Newcomer for his role as Teddy at the 4th Royalty Soapie Awards, in 2020.
Sicelo was promoted to starring cast for the start of the second season of Gomora in 2021.
