Bio
Randy Januarie is a South African actress best known for her role as Naomi in the SABC2 telenovela Die Sentrum.
She is also a script supervisor and part time English teacher.
Hailing from the small town of Montagu in the Western Cape, Randy attended Hoërskool Montagu before graduating with a BA Drama and Theatre Studies at Stellenbosch University in 2017.
She voiced roles in a number of radio dramas on Afrikaans station Radio Sonder Grense including IEC, Bosluissie and Huis op die Hawe, directed by Roel Geldenhuys.
Randy's television acting debut came when she was cast in the guest role of Thandi in an episode of the kykNET police procedural drama series Projek Dina (Project Dina) which aired on 10 March, 2020 (Season 1, Episode 9).
She made her film debut in the same year in the Afrikaans sci-fi film Wesens (Beings) set in South Africa in 1967, which follows four South African Republican Intelligence Agents as they investigate an unidentified object that landed on a farm in the Karoo.
She landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as call centre helpline agent Naomi Beukes in the SABC2 telenovela Die Sentrum (The Centre), which revolves around a group of eight diverse counsellors who work together at a helpline call centre.
Her character's social media image sells success and glamour but her real life is far from the one she projects. She lives a lie, but struggles to sustain it.
The series premiered on 8 April, 2021.
