Khathu Ramabulana is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Detective Max Makena on the Netflix superhero series Shadow.
He made his television debut in the SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy in the recurring role of charmer Yonke, making his first appearance on 23 September, 2016.
In 2019 he joined the e.tv soapie Scandal! in the recurring role of Zweli, a married schemer who takes Mary's (Mikateko Hlabangwane) virginity while his wife makes a sex tape of it. His first appearance in the role was on 14 February.
A week later he had a guest starring role in an episode of the 1Magic polygamy drama series iKhaya (Season 2, Episode 8, which aired on 23 February, 2019.
Khathu stars as Detective Max Makena in the Netflix superhero series Shadow, which was released worldwide on 8 March, 2019. It was his first starring role in television.
On 29 November, 2019 he debuted on Muvhango, in the role of Hulisani, Rendani's gambling addicted husband. He left the show in the second half of 2020 and newcomer Burnett Gededger was recast in the role.
