Eric Bouwer is a South African actor and scriptwriter best known for his role as Eben Tredoux in the M-Net soapie Egoli: Place of Gold.
He played the supporting role of Nardus Els in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan in 2008 and had a leading role as Nicolaas Loots in the kykNET drama series Getroud Met Rugby, from 2008-2010.
Eric was also a scriptwriter for the kykNET soapie Villa Rosa, from 2014-2016.
In 2018 he landed a starring role in the kykNET drama series Spoorloos as De Wet, a detective from Johannesburg.
Between 2020 and 2022 he played the recurring role of Gerhard on Binnelanders and was credited with two character names because Gerhard pretended to be Annelize Roux's (Cindy Swanepoel) long lost brother Wessel.
In 2023 he joined kykNET telenovela Diepe Waters as Reverend Ben van Staden, love interest to one of the series' starring characters Sanet Swarts (Nadia Valvekens). He debuted in Season 2 which premiered on Monday 2 October 2023.
