Jessica Pimentel is an American actress and musician best known for her role as inmate Maria Ruiz on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. Recurring since Season 1, she was promoted to series regular for the fifth season. She is the lead singer of the heavy metal band Alekhine's Gun and is also a bass player.
