Thomas Middleditch is a Canadian actor, comedian and writer best known for his starring role as Richard Hendricks, a Stanford University dropout who quits his job to pursue his Pied Piper compression application, in the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley.

He can also be seen in Search Party, where he plays Nardo, a guy who gets into a big mess in Mexico. He was also featured in the role of Dwight Schrute's brother on NBC's The Office and as Fuzzy in the film Fun Size.

Other film work includes The Wolf of Wall Street, Brass Teapot, The Kings of Summer, The Other Guys, Being Flynn and Splinterheads. Middleditch is a regular performer at Upright Citizens Brigade; a member of the Improvised Shakespeare Company; and performs comedy shorts with CollegeHumor.

Middleditch came to the U.S. from British Columbia, Canada. He landed in Chicago and toured with The Second City before moving to New York City originally to pursue a talent-holding deal with CBS.
