Ian Chen is an American child actor best known for his starring role as Evan Huang, the youngest son of Louis and Jessica who is a stickler for rules and a very obedient child, in the television sitcom Fresh Off the Boat.
Chen was born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents from Taiwan. Prior to playing Evan Huang as a comedic actor, he also appeared in Grey's Anatomy in a dramatic role.
He started his acting career after booking his first commercial job when he was 5 years old. He loves being on set and learning all aspects of the film process.
During his free time, he enjoys playing with airplance models and his friends, singing, watching TV and reading. He wants to be an airline pilot when he grows up.
He has a younger brother and is fluent in Mandarin.
