Tau Maserumule is a South African actor best known for his role as Fanwell in the television drama series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, from 2008-2009.
He also landed a starring role as Murakes, a self-employed "fixer" whose goal is to have a shop on the main road and to be a recognised leader of the community, in the 12th season of the SABC1 drama series Soul City.
In addition, Tau had roles in the feature films Blood Diamond (2006) and Machine Gun Preacher, in 2011.
Trained at the Market Theatre Laboratory, his theatre performances include roles in U-Shaka, Kasiology, The Playboy of Limpopo, The Good Woman of Setzuan, The Crucible and Lethebo la Bogoshi.
