Bio

Bexta Ndabalime is a Motswana-born, Zimbabwe-raised South African DJ, comedian and actor best known for his recurring role as Tumelo in the M-Net soap opera The Wild, from 2011-2013.

With many years in the entertainment industry having worked in radio, television, MC-ing, stand-up comedy, events, record company and a prolific live DJing stint, Bexta has honed his abilities to capture a crowd with either his musical selection and mixing skills or his personality.

DJ Bextizie has played at shows and venues in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Harare, Gaborone and Maseru, catering for crowds as small as 50 to arenas that fill up to 10,000 people.

He has a private client list that includes Cyril Ramaphosa and the former president of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki - as well as corporate clients like MTN XPloaded and NBC.

After five years at UCT Radio as a presenter, producer, programming manager, music compiler, party planner and go-to guy for campus events, the city of gold was calling.

Having successfully run a student night at Obsessions Night Club in Cape Town for three years, DJ Bextizie ventured to Johannesburg. He subsequently worked with prominent figures in the music industry such as DJ Cleo, DJ Clock, DJ Bionic, Oskido, ProVerb, Zubz, HHP and several others.

He has had regular DJing bookings at venues like News Café in Northriding and Sandton as well as Capellos in Parktown. He focused on corporate and private parties and has racked up an impressive client list.

His strength is his ability to interpret corporate briefs and tailoring his music selection and DJing for the specific client and event. From year end functions, themed parties, product activations, marketing campaigns, birthday parties, anniversaries etc, his eclectic music taste and collection makes him the perfect selector for any and every event.

Bexta ventured into the world of television as a scriptwriter for two music shows on Channel O in 2005: Kasi 101 and HeadRush, which he went on to co-present for one season.

His gift of the gab landed him a lead presenting role on the late night game show on SABC3 (Quiz Night Live) in early 2010. He was also the voice of e.tv's quiz game Play-TV from June 2009 to February 2011.

In April 2011 he was cast as an extra on M-Net's soapie The Wild, before the directors and producers decided to make his character a permanent support role on the show. In 2012 he guest starred in an episode of SABC1's comedy series Ses'Top La.

In early 2014 he appeared in the Mzansi Magic miniseries Reflections, which was part of the channel's "Lokshin Bioskop Series" strand of local, low-budget productions.

Later in the same year he landed his first leading role in television, playing Abimbola in the eKasi+ sitcom Vat 'n Sit. The show was produced by Black Brain Pictures, who also produced Ses'Top La.
